Alpinism invites you into the beautiful world of snow-covered peaks and glaciers high in the mountains. An alpinist knows the art of climbing mountains and can handle every type of terrain, which can be both physically and mentally demanding. Alpinism is practised at many different levels. Whether you have previous experience of alpinism and mountaineering or are completely new to it, we have an activity that suits you.
A typical day
Whatever your level, each day has its own theme so that you gain the technical skills needed to reach the week's final goal. Themes can be divided by type of terrain, such as snow, ice or rock. The final goal might be to climb a summit, complete a day trip or take on a longer outing.

Chamonix
The Mont Blanc massif is a world-class destination for mountaineering. Here you are surrounded by glaciers and peaks, many of them over 4,000 m. Among them you will of course find Mont Blanc, but also peaks such as Dolet, Tacul and Maudit. From learning the basics to tackling the most challenging routes, this is a paradise for climbers. In summer and winter alike, the atmosphere and landscapes of Chamonix are exceptional.
Equipment
All technical equipment is provided: boots, crampons, ice axe, climbing harness, helmet, rucksack & rope. The equipment is high quality thanks to our partner Petzl. If you have your own equipment, you are welcome to bring it.
Mountain guide
1 mountain guide or trainee guide for every 4 to 6 people, depending on the level.
